Summer Research Poster Fair and Farewell Luncheon

11:00am to 1:30pm
Friday August 18th, 2017

Please join us on Friday, August 18, to celebrate the accomplishments of students from three School of Humanities & Sciences summer research programs.

The poster research fair takes place from 11am to noon in the McKenzie Room and the farewell luncheon is from noon to 1:30 in the same location. You can RSVP for the research fair and/or the luncheon by clicking on this link <> : .

Three different summer research programs will be represented at the event:

                * the California-Arizona Minority Partnership for Astronomy Research and Education (CAMPARE) is a summer research program in its first year at Stanford, hosting interns doing research in physics, cosmology, and astrophysics

                * the Stanford-City College of New York Summer Research Program in the Humanities hosts CCNY undergraduates doing research in the humanities

                * the Stanford Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) hosts interns doing research in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences

Each program brings diverse students to campus to do research with faculty and students and to learn more about graduate study at Stanford. In addition to doing research full-time interns attend weekly seminars on the grad school application process (and many attend discipline-based seminars as well). They have all been living and working together in a row house on campus and mentored not only by faculty but by two graduate student coordinators who live in the house. The interns are a wonderfully talented and engaging group of people and I hope you can attend the fair and/or the luncheon to celebrate all they have achieved over these weeks.
